Friday for Discord

Draft the reply yourself, or bring Friday into your private server. Two ways to use Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini without giving up control.

Vencord extension

AskFriday

Hover a message and let Friday draft a reply directly in your compose box.

  • Uses the surrounding conversation for context.
  • Lets you review, edit, regenerate, and send.
  • Includes tone, personality, length, and language controls.
  • Runs on desktop Discord or Vesktop through Vencord.
Private Discord bot

Friday Bot

Self-host Friday for questions, slash commands, mentions, and replied-to claims.

  • Answers /ask commands and direct mentions.
  • Understands prompts like “Friday, is this true?” in replies.
  • Uses private server and optional user allowlists.
  • Supports a different cost-conscious model for each server.
Shared foundation

Choose your provider

Both projects support Anthropic Claude, OpenAI ChatGPT, and Google Gemini. Use your own API key, or run an official provider CLI that is already authenticated with your subscription.

Friday never scrapes browser sessions or handles provider web tokens. API keys and CLI authentication stay on the machine running the extension or bot.

Which one?

You stay in control

Choose AskFriday when you want help writing as yourself. It only drafts text and never sends a message for you.

Choose Friday Bot when you want a shared assistant that can answer people inside private servers. You host it, choose where it runs, and control which model each server uses.

AskFriday is a desktop Vencord extension. Friday Bot is a separate, self-hosted Discord application. Neither project is affiliated with Discord, Vencord, Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google.
